DONATE TO EVER AND FAMILY
Ever, his wife Gladys, their three year old son, and infant daughter were separated when they came to the united states. Father and son were reunited here in Michigan and then were able to travel to Houston where the whole family was reunited. They settled in Houston in a one-bedroom apartment that they share with extended family.
We reconnected with Ever and his family when we found out that they had run out of infant formula and that their pro bono lawyer was paying for their travel to legal and medical appointments. We have since been able to help them with the $2,500 that donors had contributed and an Amazon registry. This money has gone a long way and Ever and Gladys are deeply grateful for all of the help. I cannot tell you how many thank you texts and photos they send!
Their son is suffering immense, and fairly predictable, repercussions from the traumatic separation trauma that he experienced. When he was first reunited with his mom, he didn’t recognize her and tried to run away. He is doing so much better now, but he desperately needs to be on a schedule. Seven hundred and fifty dollars a month is enough for this family to rent a 1 bedroom apartment of their own. We are hoping to raise 12,000 dollars to help cover rent, utilities and deposit for this lovely family.
Donate to Fredy and Family
As one of the first families MSC helped to reunite, Fredy and his son hold a special place in our hearts. Fredy is a kind and thoughtful man who adores his son. Fredy, his wife, and son left their home country in May and made the dangerous journey to the US looking for refuge. They arrived at the border, but they were detained and separated. The little boy was taken away with no explanation and flown, alone, across the country to Michigan. He was recently reunited with his father. His mother was deported.
To comply with laws, Fredy is not allowed to work. Fredy and his son are living with seven other people in a two-bedroom apartment. This is not a good long term arrangement for a four year old. We would like to help them to get their own studio apartment where dad and son can have a little quiet and get on a schedule. In the area where they live, this will cost about 700.00 a month. No landlord will simply rent them an apartment because our families have no credit history and no source of income. We need to have cash, upfront to pay for everything. We are trying to raise 12,000 for this family. This will be enough for an apartment, deposit, and utilities for one year.

Donate to IMMIGRANT FAMILIES TOGETHER GENERAL FUND
Michigan Support Circle is now supported by Immigrant Families Together's general fund to fund one-off aid requests from partner entities, such as Migrant Mother Drivers and Strangers No Longer. We receive multiple requests each day to assist with acute needs that aren't covered by other groups, such as car seats and diapers for kids who have been released from foster care, and temporary housing stipends for parents who have just been released from detention.
In addition, the general fund will support operating costs to cover emerging needs and infrastructure, including web domain hosting and the service fee for our emergency hotline service. None of the MSC or IFT leadership members are paid. We are NOT a 501(c)3 organization. All of your funds will go directly to operational and acute needs expenses.
